In this video tutorial, I’m going to show you why and how you should save your new audio recordings in WAV audio format first (to edit) and then in MP3 format as your final (edited) audio file. The reason for this is strictly related to sound quality and ultimately file size. Record, edit and save your work in WAV. Then, when you’re finally done with your edited audio, and you are ready to upload it to the Web, save(as) that WAV file to MP3 format and you’re good to go!
To download a trial version of Sound Forge “Audio Studio” just click on the button below. Note, this is not a free program, but one you pay for. Is it worth buying? ABSOLUTELY! I’ve used this program to record all of my books and edit all kinds of audio. I also bought it years ago, and it’s still paying for itself over and over!
